Thank you for choosing Wedding Dress Cleaning Scotland for your wedding dress cleaning. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

Wedding Dress Cleaning Service 

Our standard service time for wedding dress cleaning is 4-6 weeks. This may be extended depending on third-party delivery times.  

The customer’s wedding dress will undergo a thorough inspection before cleaning. The customer will be contacted if any issues or discrepancies are found. The customer will be notified of any additional services or repairs required and must pay for these extra charges in advance. This may extend the service time accordingly.  

If, for any reason, both parties agree that the wedding dress should be returned without cleaning, the customer is responsible for the cost of the return courier. 

We can only accept responsibility for wedding dresses sent to us in Wedding Dress Cleaning Scotland provided packaging. If the customer does not use Wedding Dress Cleaning Scotland provided packaging, we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage that may occur in transit. 

Due to the delicate and unique nature of wedding dresses, cleaning is carried out at the customer’s own risk. We cannot guarantee that the following (non-exhaustive list) fading, shrinking, or fabric degradation will not occur. In addition, delicate fabrics, beads, trims, sequins, and other embellishments may loosen or fall off during cleaning. Certain stains or damages that were not initially visible may become more apparent after cleaning. Any damage will be subject to a maximum liability of £1,000, provided that such damage is found to be a result of fault in our cleaning processes. 

Wedding Dresses We Do Not Clean: 

Certain fibres and fabrics are inherently delicate or unstable and may not be suitable for our cleaning processes. As such, we do not clean wedding dresses with any of the following criteria: 

  • Silk including raw or untreated silk  

  • Vintage or antique fabrics 

  • Care labelled "Do Not Dry Clean"

  • Wedding dress cut on the bias

  • Mixed fibres

  • Glitter finishes or painted details

  • Delicate lace with unstable dyes 

If a customer sends a wedding dress from the above list, the wedding dress will be returned uncleaned to the customer and the customer will be responsible for the cost of the return courier. 

No care label: if the wedding dress is missing a care label and fabric composition is unknown or cannot be verified, we reserve the right to return the wedding dress uncleaned and the customer is responsible for the cost of the return courier. If cleaning is performed, it is at the customer’s own risk.  

It is the customers responsibility to inform us of any known special finishes, fabric concerns, previous alterations or cleaning at the point of purchase.  

When the customer’s wedding dress is ready to be returned it will be dispatched with standard next working day delivery. Once the customer’s wedding dress leaves our premises and is handed over to the courier, we cannot accept liability for any damage, loss, or delays that occur during shipping.

If the customer does not collect their wedding dress within three months of placing the order, we reserve the right to dispose of the wedding dress, though we will make every effort to remind the customer before taking such action.
